Well, well, well. We have some exciting scoop for all you Marvel fans. Marvel Games dropped a tweet on their official X (Twitter) account about some big reveal. It’s happening today at 8 AM Pacific Time. The message was pretty cryptic without many (or rather any) hints.
The tweet posted on X reads, and I quote, “An evil experiment has caused a unique disruption in the timestream. Who will be pulled into this epic showdown?” It’s no rocket science that the big reveal they’re talking about will be a new Marvel game.
Well, rumour has it that the new Marvel game that they’re cooking alongside NetEase is titled Marvel Rivals. And yes, we’ve heard it might hit mobiles, too, along with PC and consoles. It’s apparently going to be a third-person 6v6 shooter game competing with Overwatch.
Over on Reddit, a Redditor dropped the update about the big reveal, tying it to Marvel Rivals. Like I said, Marvel Games isn’t exactly being all-revealing. But they did throw us a bone with a teaser image showing a crowd of silhouettes flying in the air in classic superhero style. Could this be a hint at what Marvel Rivals is all about?
The current buzz suggests the new Marvel game, Marvel Rivals will feature a roster of Marvel heavy hitters. Expect to see Iron Man, Luna Snow, Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, Hulk or Loki, to name just a few. Before you get too carried away, though, remember these are still just rumours until we get the official word later today.
So, gear up for the big reveal on March 27th, at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. While there’s no direct link to a live stream yet, there’s a good chance they’ll drop new updates on their official X (Twitter) account in a few hours. Keep an eye out for it.
