Warhorse Studios' new game will be revealed next week on April 18th, the Kingdom Come Deliverance developer has announced.
The Czech developer announced the upcoming reveal through X just now. Although the developer hasn't directly confirmed that it will be announcing a sequel to 2018's action RPG, we're likely looking at Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Also, on X, known leaker Tom Henderson has said that, based on info from press events, it's indeed Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 that will be announced next week. "This isn't wishful thinking btw - It is Kingdom 2", Henderson initially said on X.
We're pretty sure that Warhorse fans will be happy to learn that, after more than six years, the studio will finally be revealing its next game next week.
Kingdom Come Deliverance was released back in February of 2018 for PC and consoles. Last month, a Nintendo Switch version of the game was released. Here's what we wrote about the 2018 action-RPG in our preview back then:
Sure, some aspects are gamified, but that's essential. It is, after all, a game. Balancing the story requirements, the realism and the need for fun will have certainly been a tough challenge. To a large degree, they have managed it. There are systems, such as in combat, which could be improved and made a little more gamey, for lack of a better word. But, for the most part, I enjoyed my time with Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
The world is absolutely beautifully designed. That much is certain. Towns and villages genuinely feel alive, with people going about their daily routines. In the wilderness, listen to the running of a nearby stream that winds through a forest. Follow the trail to an abandoned well, surrounded by flora and fauna that is stunning to behold. Even more stunning is the map, when you open it. The Bayeux Tapestry has nothing on the lovingly crafted world map of Bohemia.
