ConcernedApe, the creator of Stardew Valley, has said that he's "eager" to get back to work on Haunted Chocolatier now that Stardew Valley's 1.6 update has been released.
After months of teasing, Stardew Valley's long-awaited 1.6 update finally released last week and introduced a ton of new items and features to the game including pet turtles, the ability to drink mayonnaise, a new farm, and a whole lot more. As exciting as that is for Stardew Valley fans, the new update has left a lot of us wondering when we'd next hear more about Haunted Chocolatier, the next game from ConcernedApe.
Over on Twitter, one fan replied to ConcernedApe's tweet about the new Stardew Valley update and asked if he had any news to share on Haunted Chocolatier, which was announced some time ago and hasn't been talked about all that much since. In response to being asked about Haunted Chocolatier, ConcernedApe gave a hopeful update on his progress with the game, and indicated that he's resuming work on it next.
ConcernedApe said that he's "eager" to get back to work on the game and seemingly will be soon, but that he also has to wait for Stardew Valley's 1.6 update to be released on all platforms and be "bug-free" before doing so. So far, the new update has only released on PC, with the mobile and console versions of the game getting the update "as soon as possible".
Although that doesn't give us much indication as to when ConcernedApe is going to resume development on Haunted Chocolatier since we don't know when the console and mobile versions of Stardew Valley will get the update, but it does at least mean that we're likely to get more details about the game once the 1.6 update is sorted across all platforms.
"I am eager to get back to work on it. But I have to see Stardew 1.6 settled, bug-free and out to all platforms first."
As excited as we all are to learn more about Haunted Chocolatier (which hasn't really had a solid update since December 2021), it's worth remembering that
