A new Dragon's Dogma 2 mod released online this week improves the game's ray tracing quality, fixing some visual issues as well.
The Quality Ray Tracing mod, available on Nexus Mods, increases ray tracing resolution to full resolution instead of the default 0.4 and disables the aggressive denoiser to fix the smearing that is very visible during movement. The increase in ray tracing resolution, however, impacts performance considerably, so using this mod is not advisable to those without top-of-the-line systems, which already have trouble running the game smoothly.
Another rather big issue found in Dragon's Dogma 2 is the very low challenge level, which makes most of the main campaign a walk in the park. A new mod released today, the Custom Difficulty Tweaks, allows tweaking of various parameters such damage received by the Arisen and Pawns, and stagger values to provide more of a challenge. This mod is compatible with other mods that attempt to rebalance difficulty, such as the Enemy HP Increase and Enemies Do More Damage, so PC players now have the chance to create their own hard mode, which the game terribly requires in its current state.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. You can learn more about the second entry in the series by checking out Alessio's review.
