Bethesda Game Studios released a new hotfix for and while it may not include a plethora of changes, one tweak should make the game significantly less irritating. While the developer behind the massive sci-fi RPG may be known for crafting expansive worlds for players to explore, non-playable characters have always been very hit-or-miss. Across and, certain characters have captured the hearts of the franchise's communities but for the most part, wonky AI and stilted dialogue have always plagued Bethesda's NPCs.
Fortunately, per Bethesda's recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the latest hotfix addresses two problems, one of which was recently introduced while the other has been around for quite some time.
One relates to an issue experienced when attempting to take a picture of characters in Photo Mode while the other finally removes a bug that caused NPCs to repeat the same line of dialogue over and over. This glitch has been prevalent in since its launch and played a major role in breaking any kind of immersion when exploring with a companion or just wandering around a city, taking in the ambient sights and sounds.
While the 1.10.32 patch may only really target two problems in, the community has expressed confusion as to why the download size is as large as it is. The hotfix will require a 2.6GB update and while that may not seem like much in comparison to other AAA games on the market, it does feel a touch large for a patch that's only intended to remedy a couple of relatively minor problems. This comes just a few days after the game's most recent content update which was poorly received by the community the lack of new material it introduced to the game.
While the addition of Photo Mode was requested by the community, many have questioned why it was prioritized over more essential additions.
