Looks like Sega got some unexpected news. A leaked gameplay trailer for Sonic Toys Party, an unannounced game from Sega, hit the internet. It showed off a multiplayer battle royale with Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends.
A dedicated Sonic channel on YouTube called the Sonic Show had posted the leaked video. It’s got everyone talking. Unfortunately (for you and fortunately for Sega), YouTube took down the leaked video possibly due to a copyright claim by Sega.
The most important thing is that Sega hasn’t made Sonic Toys Party official yet. From the sneak peek, I can say that it’s still in the development phase, and a lot of things are probably yet to be added to the game. Meanwhile, check out other Sega games based on Sonic the Hedgehog on the Google Play Store.
The game is a battle royale game where players go head-to-head in obstacle courses/battles. It looks a lot like Fall Guys with the high-speed hijinks of Sonic the Hedgehog. So, it’s a bunch of Sonics duking it out in the Sonic universe.
Now, this isn’t the first time that Fall Guys has inspired a game. Following its massive success, many similar guys dropped for mobile players, including Stumble Guys and Eggy Party. Now, Sonic Toys Party seems to have been the latest on the list.
So, is Sonic Toys Party for real? It’s looking that way. Otherwise, why would the leak get taken down from YouTube, right? Let’s hope Sega spills the beans soon. Toys Party is rumoured to be free-to-play and might be something you can get your hands on by this summer.
