Flint Marko, better known as the Sandman, has quite a few memories scattered around New York in . Marko's Memories are crystals protected by a horde of sand creatures. These crystals house the Sandman's memories and show up after completing the first two main story missions. Marko's Memories are similar to the Black Cat Stakeouts from the first game in that they teach Spider-Man something about his enemies.
Each of these memories gives Peter and Miles a clue as to why Flint Marko attacked them earlier in the game. They show up as bright orange crystals on the map. You know you've found a crystal when you see a big cloud of sand hovering in the area. While the sand monsters are easy to beat, you must ensure they don't overwhelm you. You can collect Marko's Memories as both Peter and Miles. However, if you grab the crystals as Peter, you will get some dialogue about his past with the Sandman. Miles does not have the same lore-rich responses to the Memories.
Manhattan, the beating heart of New York City, has ten orange crystals that can be found in. The south end of Central Park houses a Memory by the shore of a small pond. The water is a good tool for handling the sand monster swarms. Once you grab the crystal, you can continue south into Midtown.

There are two Memories in Midtown from 's vast map. The first is on a rooftop on the east side of Midtown, shadowed by the Colexco skyscraper. It's an excellent opportunity to knock enemies off the roof for a quick end to the fight. The second Marko's Memory is in the southwest corner of Midtown in an alley between a brick building and a shiny silver building. Alleys are excellent practice for webbing
