Koei Tecmo shadow dropped Ninja Gaiden 2 Black last week, but it’s committed to continuing to update the PS5 remake.
In a post on X (or Twitter) earlier this week, the publisher said it’s “preparing a patch aimed for release in mid-February with some balance adjustments and additional features”. It added that the update will be based on the “feedback received”.
You know you want it
The remake released as part of a concentrated effort from the Japanese publisher to put Ninja Gaiden back in the limelight. Later this year, a full-blown sequel named Ninja Gaiden 4 will also launch on the PS5, with development already 70-80% complete.
Exactly what additional features Koei Tecmo is plotting for Ninja Gaiden 2 Black remains unclear, but we’ll update as and when further announcements have been made.

Waiting for a sale on this one before i bite.
Finished this last night amazing game
Ninja Gaiden is absolute nostalgia for me, just the thought that they can update something with a patch is completely foreign, gamer's have it so good nowadays.
Hoping for something fun like additional costumes instead of just fixes. It would be nice if they'd give the same remake treatment to the whole Trilogy but I'll take what i can get. Awesome seeing Ninja gaiden 2 looking this good! Can't freaking wait for Ninja gaiden 4!
They need to bring the experience closer to the original NG 2! And then fix the camera…
