GTA 5 voice actor Steven Ogg, who plays Trevor, has expressed his desire for the maniacal protagonist to appear in GTA 6… so he can be killed properly this time. Speaking to Screen Rant, the actor pitched the scene as passing the torch on, where Trevor could be killed right at the start of the game by one of the newly playable characters.
He explained: «I wish it would be fun if Trevor appeared in it just to be killed at the beginning. I think that would be cool, because it also acknowledges the fans of like, 'Hey, thank you.' Pass the torch, stomp Trevor's head in, and sort of put an end to that and allow a new generation to take over.»
While Trevor can be killed in the main story of GTA 5, his death isn't part of the canon ending. With three conclusions to the game, the official ending sees all three protagonists survive the final mission. Ogg says in the interview he hasn't been cast in GTA 6, so the odds of the character returning are extremely low.
This wouldn't be the first time Rockstar has killed one of its characters in this manner, however. Shortly after Trevor's introduction GTA 5, he's seen killing Johnny Kleibitz, the star of GTA 4 DLC The Lost and Damned. We'll have to wait until the final game launches to see if a similar scene does actually come to fruition, with GTA 6 currently slated for a late 2025 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
