It seems as though the highly-rated PlayStation console exclusive game Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to Xbox Series X/S platforms. Kena: Bridge of Spirits was originally released for PC, PS4, and PS5 in September 2021. The game earned mostly positive reviews from critics, with particular praise given to its impressive graphics and art style, which earned some comparisons to the animated films made by Disney and Pixar.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits reviews also highlighted the game's adorable Rot creatures and fun action-adventure elements. The game has been held in high regard since its release in 2021, and so Xbox gamers will no doubt be happy to learn that Kena: Bridge of Spirits is seemingly jumping ship from PlayStation to Xbox at some point in the relatively near future.
The ESRB has issued a rating for an Xbox version ofKena: Bridge of Spirits, which is a surefire sign that the game is set to be revealed and perhaps even released at some point soon. Even though Kena: Bridge of Spirits was released as a PlayStation console exclusive, neither Ember Lab nor the Kena IP are owned by Sony, and so the eventual Xbox port was just a matter of time, though an official announcement still has yet to be made.
This isn't the first time that we've heard whispers of a potential Kena: Bridge of Spirits Xbox port. All the way back in 2021, the developers said that they would look into bringing Kena to other platforms at some point after the game's PlayStation and PC launch. At the time, Kena was a timed-exclusive for the Epic Games Store on PC and PlayStation on consoles. It only took a year for Kena to come to Steam, though Xbox gamers have had to wait nearly three years to play the game on their platform of choice.
If Kena: Bridge of Spirits is indeed coming to Xbox consoles as the ESRB rating suggests, then one has to imagine that the reveal will happen soon. It's possible that Kena: Bridge of Spirits is one of the surprise announcements coming at the Xbox June showcase,
