Monster Hunter series sales top 100 million, Monster Hunter Rise tops 15 million
gematsu.comWorldwide cumulative sales of the Monster Hunter series has surpassed 100 million units, Capcom announced. Monster Hunter Rise has surpassed 15 million units, and expansion Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has surpassed eight million units.
Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak were last reported in June 2023 to have surpassed 13 million and six million units, respectively. Both the game and expansion have sold over approximately two million units annually since their release.

As previously announced, Monster Hunter: World has sold over 25 million units, and it has consecutively sold over one million units each year in the seven years since its release. It is Capcom’s highest selling game to date.
The latest entry in the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Wilds is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in early 2025 in celebration of the series’ 20th anniversary.
