It’s always interesting to look at the most viewed trailers after a State of Play has aired, just to get a better idea of which titles resonated with fans. While this is far from a scientific experiment – especially when you consider we’re only taking into account views from the PlayStation channel roughly 12 hours after the event aired – it does help to illustrate which PS5 games proved a hit with fans.
So far, the early indications are that both Monster Hunter Wilds and Astro Bot were the most liked titles from the show, although the numbers are pretty small overall. Approximately 1.2 million tuned in to watch the latest State of Play, although no individual trailer has gone over 500k at the time of writing. Of course, we’re sure the numbers will continue to increase throughout the day.

Although a Astro tech demo was a free pack in, not many have experienced the true magic of Astro Bot because Rescue Mission required a VR headset. Whilst this game won’t be as good of course, I fully expect it to win many, many fans, and the next similar poll in which an Astro features will surely have it at the top.
Monster Hunter Wilds was definitely the heavy hitter of the show.
It looked great, but they really only showed off the bear/dog monster so it will be good to see more about the game in the future.
Astro Bot and Infiti Nikki were highlights for me personally. I’m a sucker for kid-friendly, vibrant, magical games.
