On December 3, PlayStation celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Sony‘s very first games console would go on to change the face of the games industry following its launch in the 90s. By harnessing CD technology and tapping into the 90s culture, PlayStation did what many thought was impossible, by beating Nintendo and Sega at their own game.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iconic console, this month on Chatting Vintage Games, VGC’s Retro podcast, Chris Scullion and Jordan Middler looked back on the games, the developers and the stories of Sony’s PlayStation.
A 10-minute preview of the retrospective is available on YouTube now. The full, over 100-minute version of the podcast is available as both video and audio on Patreon.
