Sony and Polyphony Digital have announced that My First Gran Turismo, which is essentially a PS5, PS4 demo for Gran Turismo 7, will launch this Friday, 6th December 2024. It's available for free, and lets you try race events, time trials, Music Rally stages, and license tests from the full game. You can get a visual sample of the content in the trailer above.
From the main menu, you'll be able to try three race events: the Sunday Cup, Clubman Cup, and the GT Cup. You can set lap times in time trials on the Kyoto Driving Park, Deep Forest Raceway, and Trial Mountain. Within the app, you can also work towards achievements and a car collection of up to 18 vehicles. As well as flat-screen support, the whole demo can also be played using PSVR2.
In a post to the PlayStation Blog, president Kazunori Yamauchi said: «This experience holds a special place in my heart, as it pays tribute to the origins of the first Gran Turismo, where players of all generations discovered the joys of driving.
