A new vigilante named the Wraith appears in as someone you can find through a side quest, and even fight eventually as a boss. This figure has an important relationship with Peter Parker, weaving a new thread on the web of the game's already deep story. A seemingly normal encounter from the open world will lead you to Wraith and a new plot threatening to burn the city down to embers.
To find Wraith, you have to complete the main story mission before you get a notification from Chief Clarke that makes you play as Peter Parker. Travel across 's massive open-world until you reach the right place for this side mission. Here, you'll be asked to stop cultists of The Flame from setting a building and hostages on fire, and meet Wraith through a cutscene at the end of the side quest.

The Wraith is actually Yuri Watanabe, the police captain who was Peter's friend and ally against the villains of the first game. During the DLC of, Yuri left the force due to the events surrounding Hammerhead and the mafia assault on New York City. Now donning the title of Wraith, Yuri wages war against The Flame cult in ways that could be considered far less forgiving than a friendly neighborhood web-slinger.

Follow the side story missions tied to The Flame, which unlock in four locations after you finish the main quest where you meet the Wraith. The enemies here are stronger every time you fight them, so make sure to earn new abilities or get Gadget upgrades in as you take on these arsonists. Tensions will rise between the Wraith and Peter until they reach a breaking point
