Publisher Sega and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced during Sony’s recent State of Play that a demo for the upcoming Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be coming to PS5. The demo will be available starting on 7:00am PT on February 13.
As part of the demo, players will be able to try out two of protagonist Goro Majima’s fighting styles, including the new Sea Dog style. Players will also be able to try their hand at the naval combat that will be playing a major role in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii when it comes out.
This demo announcement comes just a few days after the release of a story trailer that focused on the Pirate King of Madlantis, Raymond Law, who is being played in the game by professional wrestler Samoa Joe.
When it comes out, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will feature the entirety of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth‘s setting of Honolulu as an explorable area. It will, however, not feature all of the content from the mainline game. When compared to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, however, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is set to be around 30 percent longer.
The demo comes just a few days ahead of the game’s full release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on February 21.
