Team17 veteran Michael Pattison has been hired by developer Lightspeed Studios.

The news comes via Game Developer, which reports that he has been brought on board as the company's VP of publishing across PC and console. Pattison has worked in the games industry for 28 years, starting off at Ocean Software back in 1996. From there, he has held positions at the likes of THQ, Capcom and PlayStation. Most recently, he spent two years as the CEO of Team17's Digital label, before leaving in September 2023.

Lightspeed VP Steve Martin described Pattison coming on board as "invaluable as we continue to innovate and create exceptional game experiences for our players on a global scale."

Lightspeed is best known for its zombie survival game Undawn, though the title failed to meet parent company Tencent's expectations. The studio has also worked on the mobile versions of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds and Apex Legends.
