The Intel Core i5-13490F Black Edition CPU has dropped below $200 US in China and is now cheaper than the Core i5-13400F.
Earlier, we had reported that the Intel Core i5-13490F Black Edition Desktop CPU received a massive price cut down to $205 US (1419 RMB) in China but now, the CPU has dropped to 1369 RMB which equals $199 US or $5 US cheaper than the listed price of the Core i5-13400F at JD.com.
The Core i5-13490F Black Edition CPU maintains the same cores as the 13th Gen Core i5-13400F with six Performance cores (P-Cores) and four Efficiency cores (E-Cores) which equals twelve cores in total across sixteen threads. The clock speeds for the 13490F reach 4.8 GHz with its boost clock. The CPU also offers 24 MB of L3 cache and 9.5 MB of L2 cache. Compared to the 13400F, it offers 20% more cache with about 4% faster clocks. The TDP on the i5-13490F is 65W, identical to the rest of the Non-K offerings while maintaining the same support for DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800 memory kits.
In benchmark performance tests, the Intel Core i5-13490F Black Edition CPU scored 779.7 points in single-core and 6834.5 points in multi-core tests. The new Black Edition chips are about 8.5% more efficient in multi-core benchmarks and 5% more efficient in single-threaded tests than the standard Core i5-13400 CPU.
Intel's second 13th gen Black Edition chip, the Core i7-13790F, has also seen a slight reduction in prices down to 2779 RMB ($404 US) versus the previous retail pricing of 2899 RMB ($422 US).
This is the more premium CPU when compared to the Core i7-13700F CPU. The Core i7-13790F Black Edition has eight P-Cores and eight E-Cores, producing sixteen cores across 24 threads. The base clock is 4.1 GHz, while the boost clock reaches 5.2 GHz. The L3
