NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 & RTX 4080 graphics cards have recently started to get price cuts and discounts below their MSRP by certain retailers.
NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4090 & RTX 4080 graphics cards are the fastest Ada Lovelace products that one can purchase at the moment. These graphics cards cost over $1000 US and although one can question their price to performance value, there's no doubt that both of these cards have a lot of performance under the hood.
Recently, we reported that NVIDIA was giving its AIB partners rebates on certain cards and that it could be used to slash prices on the GeForce RTX 40 lineup but the company doesn't plan to do so and will retain the prices until competition heats up and there's an actual response. So far, AMD is the one who has officially cut prices off their cards with the Radeon RX 7900 XT being adjusted to $849 US to tackle the $799 US RTX 4070 Ti.
Now, Certain retailers have started offering additional discounts on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 & RTX 4080 graphics cards, bringing their prices below MSRP. Starting with the flagship, the RTX 4090 was momentarily dropped to $1549 US, $50 US below its MSRP by a marketplace seller at Newegg US. This is probably the first time we have seen the 4090 drop below MSRP and although the deal is over due to the card being "Out of Stock", it is likely we will see similar deals appear in the coming months.
As for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, US retailers including Amazon, Newegg, Microcenter, and Best Buy, are offering several variants of the card below its MSRP of $1199 US. The lowest price for the card has been listed at $1149 US which is also $50 US below MSRP. You can find these cards at the following links:
