Obviously, FromSoftware’s reputation is, first and foremost, as the godfather of Soulslike titles, but the developer has the sort of cache that will get people buzzing for anything new that it puts out. It’s no surprise, then, that Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, the long-awaited revival of its mech action franchise, ranks as one of the most highly anticipated games of the year.
Since its announcement in December, we haven’t seen or heard much of the game, though interestingly, that may be changing soon. A Chinese leaker on the a9vg forums has shared an image that suggests that Armored Core 6 will be getting a new trailer on April 28, with amusing inspirations clearly drawn from the key art for 428: Shibuya Scramble.
The leaker in question has had a decent track record (via ResetEra), and recently also leaked God of War Ragnarok’s New Game Plus mode ahead of its official release.
There have been some Armored Core 6-related developments in recent days that might suggest that a showing for the game might be approaching. Last week, it was rated in South Korea, while shortly afterward, its key art also leaked.
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Previous leaks have claimed that the game is targeting a launch in September/October.
