Helldivers 2 players worked hard to unlock mechs, liberating the planet of Tien Kwan. They were clearly very eager, as they accomplished the task much faster than the devs anticipated. Now, players can call down the Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit into battle, although they aren't finding them as powerful as expected.
In fact, many players have reported that the big fancy mechs are getting utterly decimated, not standing a chance against even a relatively weak swarm of bugs. Some have described the mech as a glass canon, providing great firepower, but awful defence - so don't go thinking that you can run off without your team.

They ignored a decade of ppl wanting them buffed," says Remalgigoran. "Mechs are never going to be John Wick machines. They're like drive-able sentry turrets. You call them down when you need them, and your team is supposed to play around it. If done well you get 16 EAT rockets and enough minigun to clear a breach and a few patrols."
Hopefully, the fact that these mechs aren't all the players hoped for means that the servers will ease up. As we reported yesterday, the deployment of the Exosuit meant that thousands of players
