Frost Mage First Impressions: Spellslinger Hero Talents
Blizzard recently revealed many new Hero Talent Tree previews, which included the Spellslinger tree that will be shared by Arcane and Frost Mages in The War Within. This tree provides Mages with an option that maintains the fantasy of being a pure Frost Mage. In terms of gameplay, the tree has some issues, but provides fun rotational change through higher Winter's Chill uptime and some very nice utility options.
Developer's Note: Spellslinger Splinters are themed and tuned based on your active Specialization. Arcane's Splinters are named Arcane Splinters and deal moderate Arcane school damage. Frost's Splinters are named Frost Splinters and deal light Frost school damage. Those specifics have been omitted from this mockup for the sake of tooltip readability, as both specs' Splinters serve the same purpose.
