Star Wars and Fortnite have always enjoyed a fruitful partnership, but now Disney’s put its sizeable bank balance behind Epic Games, there was always the possibility of a greater collaboration. And after weeks of teasing, that’s exactly what’s been announced. Beginning from 3rd May, the eve of Star Wars Day, you can expect an epic collaboration with George Lucas’ sci-fi series which will extend to virtually all aspects of the culturally colossal video game platform.
LEGO Fortnite will probably benefit the most from the crossover, as there’ll be a new map named Rebel Village where you’ll be tasked with crafting new Star Wars items, fighting off Rebels with Lightsabers, and much more. Crucially, there’ll be a separate Battle Pass specifically for this mode which will see you unlock builds and kits inspired by Mos Eisley and its iconic cantina.
Elsewhere, in Battle Royale you’ll be able to team up with Chewbacca, while the aforementioned Mos Eisley Cantina will be coming to Fortnite Festival as a new Jam Stage, and various Star Wars liveries will be added to Rocket Racing. Meanwhile, there’ll be fresh skins in the Item Shop, including one inspired by Lando Calrissian.

Wake me up once these tie-ins with Fortnite are seen as lame.
Surely by the time Star Wars does it we are nearly there...
