Helldivers 2 developers have finally addressed the annoying crashing issue that has been bothering fans for a while now, and it seems like a hotfix is on the way. While players have been facing infrequent crashes ever since Helldivers 2 was launched, the last patch aggravated things quite a bit.

For instance, the fan-favorite Quasar Cannon got a pretty interesting quality-of-life feature that allowed players to see the progress of the weapon's charge. While there were surely plenty of good things about the update, the crashes that followed were really frustrating for fans. However, things might improve pretty soon as per a recent report.
As highlighted by Reddit user mrsmash85, Arrowhead Studios has provided an update on the crashing issues in Helldivers 2. In a comment on the official Discord, community manager Twinbeard confirmed that there is a hotfix in the works that will address the problems users have been facing. While that might make fans breathe a sigh of relief, considering that the game has literally become unplayable for many, there is a catch.
Twinbeard further clarifies that the update is not coming over the weekend, alluding to the fact that it could take a while before the patch actually materializes. They even further suggested users should «hang in there or let the game rest for a while», but at the same also appreciated the unwavering support of the fans for Helldivers 2. While fans were grateful to learn that the developers are finally on the way to adressing the issue, many were against the idea of taking a break from the game.
