The developer has done a great job rising to the occasion in the wake of this success, and has very frequently updated the game with brand-new content. This ensures that both new and returning players to the game have something fresh to experience, which has allowed the game to retain a very strong player count. In patch notes posted on Steam, Helldivers 2 confirmed the latest batch of changes coming to the game. For the most part, this update is centered around a ton of different crash fixes, including one particularly annoying crash that would occur after extraction. Other miscellaneous fixes include Major orders now properly displaying text, and red boxes in defense missions no longer being visible. The other big change in this update is regarding the CE-27 Ground Breaker armor — one of the coolest armors in Helldivers 2. This armor was advertised with the Engineer kit passive, but it didn't actually have this in-game. With this patch, it now works as intended.
With previous Helldivers 2 updates, there have often been surprises included by the developer for players to find. Several times, Helldivers 2 updates have added new enemies not mentioned in the patch notes. This is an extremely unique approach, as it allows players to find new additions by themselves.
