With the release of, the classic psychological horror experience is back with new side stories featuring Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri, and, of course, Monika. While there is plenty of new content to explore, one thing that remains true for the Literature Club is that players will need to pick their words wisely to win over their dream girl's heart.
Throughout your time in the Literature Club, you will be required to write poems that will then be shared with the other members. This is your main chance to impress your favorite club member but to do so; youwill need to discover their personality and select the words that you feel most closely match the type of person they are.
Doki Doki Literature Club Plus has three slightly different endings, all of which are based on the player's choices. What happens in each ending?
When you are prompted to write poems in for the next Literature Club meeting, you will be brought to a journal page with several words on it. From here, you will write your poem by selecting any word on the page, after which it will have you repeat the same process on the next page until you have done this for all 20 pages.
While players can select words based on their preference, you can also rig the system to favor a specific girl.
Each word on the page is worth between 1 and 3 brownie points, which indicates how much each character favors each word. When you have selected a word that one character particularly favors, her small icon will jump up and down to indicate her approval.
To write a perfect poem for someone, 45 or more brownie points have to be earned for that specific character. This means that a character's 3-point word must be chosen for at least 15 out of 20 total choices.
Doki Doki Literature Club Plus includes new achievements that tease a Monika route. However, like most of the game this may not be what it seems.
