A GTA V NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation mod is now available online, doubling the game's performance while bringing the most stable image yet, thanks to DLAA implementation.
The mod, which was developed by well-known modder PureDark, required quite a bit of work as the game has no motion vectors in the engine and required patching hundreds of shaders to inject motion vectors. Being a game that can easily run into CPU bottlenecks, Frame Generation works wonders, as it can double its performance while providing the most stable image yet, thanks to DLAA, which is a much better AA solution than the game's built-in MSAA and TXAA.
Like other mods developed by PureDark, the GTA V NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation mod is only available for Patreon backers, and you can find the developer's page by going here. Given how this mod required additional work compared to titles that already support DLSS and FSR, it is unlikely a free option will be made available by other modders in the future.
GTA V is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The next entry in the series was finally revealed earlier this month and will be released on a yet-to-be-confirmed date on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
