The currently available AMD FSR 3 frame generation mods continue to impress, doubling performance in titles such as Alan Wake 2 and Hogwarts Legacy.
As shown in a new video shared by MxBenchmarkPC, the DLSSG-to-FSR3 mod by Nukem, whose latest version can be downloaded from Nexus Mods, doubles performance in Alan Wake 2 at 1440p resolution on an NVIDIA RTX 3080. This is especially useful in the forested areas, which are extremely demanding.
Alongside the mod by Nukem, LukeFZ is releasing game-specific AMD FSR 3 frame generation mods for several titles that already support NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation. Among them is Hogwarts Legacy, whose performance is doubled at 1440p resolution over native resolution in certain scenarios, as seen in the video by Swaggaccino.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is yet another game that received an AMD FSR 3 frame generation mod. While the game still suffers from stuttering issues, the mod improves performance considerably, as shown in the video below by Macer.
Despite some visual issues in several titles, such as heavy UI ghosting, the modded implementation of AMD FSR 3 frame generation definitely bodes well for the future. Yesterday, we were able to get a sort of preview of how the technology will work once it gets officially implemented in Starfield, and the results were excellent. With AMD's tech working great in the latest games that officially support it, such as Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, it will be very interesting to see how things will develop in the future and how NVIDIA will answer to it.
