Precision Airstrikes will show their trajectory on the mini-map with the Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 update. Infinity Ward and Raven Software continue to update Call of Duty: Warzone, and Season 2 includes a handful of quality-of-life changes like the Airstrike adjustments.
Call of Duty: Warzone has evolved many times since it was initially released in 2020. Unlike the preset loadouts of Multiplayer mode, players start Warzone matches by acquiring most of their arsenal by looting points of interest in the massive map. Among the loot that players may come across are killstreak rewards from the Multiplayer, like UAV, Cluster Strikes, and Shield Turrets. These can help players defeat enemies from a distance or funnel them into firing range. Warzone Season 2 is set to make a major change to Precision Airstrikes to make it easier for players to know where the airborne attack will drop.
Call of Duty outlet Charlie Intel recently revealed that Precision Airstrikes will show their attack path in Warzone Season 2. The account confirmed the news with a video shared by Raven Software showing a player that's in the path of a Precision Airstrike. The path is highlighted by an elongated red bubble on the mini-map which has arrows in it that specify the killstreak item's trajectory. As the two enemy planes fly across the map, their onslaught is emphasized by the player's screen shaking and filling with damage effects familiar to other Call of Duty games. Although there isn't much time to avoid the attack, the mini-map adjustment may help Season 2 players narrowly escape death.
While Raven Software confirmed the Precision Airstrike change as a quality-of-life feature, some players suggest that it nerfs the Call of Duty: Warzone killstreak item. Currently, the only way for players to know if an airstrike is coming their way is with a call-out from their soldier and the noise of the planes approaching.
