Gran Turismo 7 has received a major update that is updated the title of the game. With even offering a new intro video, Gran Turismo 7 SPEC II will bring a good bit of content for free to owners of the game. Highlighting this update is seven new cars, a new course (off-road snow course), and a new update to Sophy will be available on Thursday. The circuit Lake Louise will bring three layouts with a long track offering 11 turns, a short track with 7 and a tri-oval. Arcade Race is being changed to Quick Race, with the option to race against the AI Sophy. Polyphony Digital has also added 4-player split screen races on the PlayStation 5 version of the game.
Two Dodge cars join the game with the 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 426 Hemi and the renowned 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon. The Charger being introduced is the iconic Charger of the day while the Demon is the fastest production car in history when it launched. The Demon produced 813.6 BHP when using 100 or higher octane fuel and would go 0-62 in 2.3s with a quarter mile time of 9.65s. It includes the Demon Crate that would fully unlock the car for drag racing. Both are icons of their associated eras.
The Lexus LFA ’10 is being added with its 4.8 liter V10 that redlines at 9,500 RPM. It is rated at 552.3 BHP with a transmission that utilizes a 6-speed single clutch 2-pedal manual transmission that shifts in 0.2 seconds. The legendary Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II ’91 comes back to Gran Turismo which offered 231.8 BHP but power was said to exceed 325. The rear wing was the main identifying factor of this car. The other cars included will be the 1995 Nissan Nismo 400R, 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and the 2023 Tesla Model 3 Performance, which offers a 0-62.1 time of 3.3
