There might only be eight of them, but PokemonSquishmallows have made a very big splash since their inception at the end of 2022. Far bigger than the splash even the largest Magikarp could muster up. Magikarp isn't one of the seven Pokemon to have been turned into a Squishmallow so far, and it isn't next in line either. That honor goes to Dragonite, and the first images of Pokemon's next Squishmallow have been shared online.
Dragonite's Squishmallow is exactly what you'd expect it to be, for the most part. A soft, round, and squishy version of the iconic Gen One Pokemon, complete with feelers perched on top of its head. What sets the upcoming Dragonite Squishmallow apart from the other seven in the Pokemon collection is its nose. Aside from Piplup's little beak, the faces of every other Pokemon Squishmallow are flat. Dragonite's has a snout, and even its wings have been incorporated into the design.
Dragonite's Squishmallow isn't listed on the Pokemon Center just yet, but the first official images of it appearing online suggest it will be available to buy very soon, possibly as soon as this weekend. If Pokemon sticks with its Squishmallow pattern, the first version of the Squishmallow will be the 12-inch one, a size exclusive to the Pokemon Center. It will likely be priced at $29.99 which is how much all of the 12-inch Squishmallows at the Pokemon Center cost.
A Danish site let the cat - or perhaps that should be the dragon - out of the bag about Dragonite almost a month ago. The site listed the Squishmallow without pictures, confirming for some Dragonite would be one of the next Pokemon to be added to the collection. The same site also listed a Marill Squishmallow. No images of that yet online, but you'd think considering the size and shape of Marill in the games and the anime, the Water-type would make a perfect Squishmallow.
