The latest Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth update patch is now available to download, and it fixes the infamous Platinum Trophy bug that’s been plaguing some players. Like most modern video games, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth includes a list of Trophies that players can earn by completing various tasks in-game. Some of these achievements are simply a matter of playing through the game’s story and reaching certain moments, while others require going off the beaten path and fulfilling side objectives. At the very top of every PlayStation achievement list is the Platinum Trophy, the ultimate accolade that signifies that a player has fully completed the video game in question.
However, not everyone has been able to unlock Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Platinum Trophy due to a glitch in the game’s “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” side quest, in which the player needs to beat the score of the Ultimate Party Animal in Chocobo Racing, G-Bike, Galactic Saviors, and Musclehead Colosseum before finally defeating him for good in a round of Queen's Blood. The bug affects the G-Bike mini-game, causing the game to refuse to register the score record that is required to complete that portion of the side quest.
The developers at Square Enix have acknowledged this progress-blocking Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth glitch, promising to fix it in a future update. That time is now, as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Update 1.030 has been released. This new update patch offers a plethora of quality-of-life improvements, not the least of which is finally fixing the “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” glitch that prevented so many players from earning Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s coveted Platinum Trophy. However, to proceed in the once-glitched quest the player will need to meet the G-Bike clear conditions again once the patch is installed.
This is just one of the fixes that the latest Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth update patch implements. It also corrects some technical issues players have been reporting while completing the game’s investigation
