The Nintendo Switch 2 will be released sometime in March 2025, and the first reveal of the highly anticipated system will be coming this Fall.
Speaking in a new video, reliable Brazilian journalist PH, who broke the news that the next Nintendo console was internally delayed to 2025, stated that the system will be released during March 2025, as plans haven't changed since earlier this year, despite the strange wording of today's message regarding the console from Nintendo's president Shuntaro Furukawa. Commenting on the timing of the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal, it is said a first reveal should be coming sometime this Fall, with a full-blown reveal in January in preparation for the March release, which is pretty much the same timing as the original Switch reveal.
Besides revealing new information on the Nintendo Switch 2 release window and reveal timing, PH commented on June's Nintendo Direct, which will be the original Switch's last hurrah. According to the journalist, more remasters will be revealed during the presentation, and Metroid Prime 4 could also be officially unveiled for a late 2024 release. The presence of the latest entry in the series, which has been in the works since, however, is an educated guess, and no source confirmed it. June's Direct will also be followed by an Indie World presentation in August and possibly a Partner Direct. However, the latter is uncertain as it may end up overlapping with the first proper Nintendo Switch 2 reveal.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has yet to be officially revealed. We will keep you updated on the console as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
