A new Genshin Impact leak reveals an interesting change to Arlecchino that should go live in the upcoming Version 4.7. Arlecchino was introduced to the game in the first phase of the current update 4.6 alongside another five-star Pyro user, Fontaine's famous magician Lyney.
Since her first appearance two years ago in the «A Winter Night's Lazzo» trailer, Arlecchino has been one of the most anticipated Genshin Impact characters in the community, especially since she was confirmed to be the fourth Fatui Harbinger. So far, Arlecchino has played the role of the main villain in the Fontaine storyline.
A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that the recently released five-star Pyro polearm user Arlecchino could go through some changes in the upcoming updates. According to the post, Arlecchino's particle generation cooldown will be increased from 0.5 to 1.5 seconds. These particles are primarily dropped by characters' Elemental Skills and by enemies who lose health points. While this cooldown increase might seem like a nerf, many fans in the comment section claim that it won't have any significant impact on Arlecchino's playstyle and overall power on the field.
Some comments have pointed out that the main reason behind the change could be the new permanent domain which should arrive in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 4.7. The new piece of end-game content should function similarly to the Spiral Abyss, with rumors indicating that the two will alternate in a manner comparable to the Memory of Chaos and Pure Fiction domains in Honkai: Star Rail. The buffs in the new domain could allow Arlecchino to use her Elemental Skill multiple times without a cooldown, which is why the cooldown nerf will be needed.
