In partnership with Square Enix, Puma announcedFinal Fantasy 14 is getting its own shoe line later this month in Japan. Final Fantasy 14 fans will be able to purchase new Puma shoes featuring designs inspired by minions and artwork from Square Enix's highly successful MMORPG.
Square Enix's Final Fantasy 14 continues onward with new updates following the conclusion of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga in the Endwalker expansion. Final Fantasy 14 patch 6.1 and beyond depicts the Warrior of Light's post-Endwalker adventure as players work to discover secrets regarding the Void, a dark and dangerous realm that once thrived like the Source. Although the next Final Fantasy 14 expansion will not release in 2023, players can expect more story content this year and a major graphical overhaul in patch 7.0. Moreover, brand-new Final Fantasy 14 merchandise is on the way including new shoes by renowned manufacturer Puma.
Final Fantasy Producer Doesn't Like the Term 'JRPG'
Square Enix and Puma unveiled the new Final Fantasy 14 shoe collection via Japanese website Sneaker Wars, which aggregates information about upcoming shoe releases in Japan. Four Final Fantasy 14 shoes will be sold with light and dark versions for approximately $125 each starting March 15. Two of the shoes are Puma Slipstream models, while the other two shoes are Puma RS-X models. Light versions feature bright white, blue, and green hues to symbolize the benevolent light of the Crystal. Dark versions of the new Puma shoes use mixes of black, purple, and pink hues to represent forces of darkness that are ever-present in the world of Final Fantasy 14.
