Bungie is already making changes to the Guardian Rank system in Destiny 2, which was recently introduced in the Lightfall expansion. Destiny 2 players can expect a brand-new update soon as Bungie adjusts the Guardian Rank system to benefit those who go above and beyond in high-level content such as raids and Trials of Osiris.
The Lightfall expansion brought a whole host of new features into Destiny 2 such as the Guardian Rank system and Commendations. The Guardian Rank system allows players to demonstrate their skill and experience in Destiny 2 by completing objectives. These objectives include increasing Vanguard reputation, completing the Lightfall Legendary campaign, earning certain Exotics, and awarding Commendations to other players. Shortly after the launch of Lightfall, players have called on Bungie to reevaluate Commendations since the system may be exploited.
Destiny 2's Raid Sets a New Record for Endgame Activity
The official Bungie Help Twitter account announced a major change is already being made to Destiny 2's Guardian Rank system. Specifically, Bungie reduced the required Commendations score to complete objectives across all Guardian Ranks, streamlining the process of completing Commendation requirements and ascending from one Guardian Rank to another in Destiny 2. According to Bungie, an update on March 16 will introduce new objective descriptions for the Commendation requirements found in the Guardian Rank menu, which may be visited by pausing the game and entering the Journey tab.
