We've datamined a new set of vestments called «Dragon Black» on the Dragonflight Patch 10.1 PTR! Available in six color schemes, this cosmetic ensemble features a tabard, cloak, and shoulders. Five color variations appear to correspond to the major dragon flights — Red, Blue, Green, Black, and Bronze.
What's really interesting however, is that it doesn't stop there — there's a sixth variant, which looks suspiciously familiar to a flight we're all too familiar with: the Infinite Dragonflight. We previously wrote about Nozdormu's Fate and whether the Bronze Aspect could avoid becoming Murozond, and with the Dragonflight expansion exploring more of the story of Dragons and particularly their aspects, this is a story beat which cannot go ignored.
However, most of the focus so far has been on whether he could avoid that dark destiny, while another question is perhaps whether he has to avoid it. Is there a future in which Nozdormu could embrace his destiny, willingly become Murozond, in an effort to change them into a force for good or at least attempt to contain them from within? As for the actual armor, the shoulder silhouette is reminiscent of Sabellian's armor, and the V design on his chest piece is similar to the design on the cloak.
However, the visual similarities don't seem as strong as other armor sets, such as Bronze Dragonflight armor referencing Nozdormu's winged shoulder. It still gives off a distinctly earth-themed vibe with bold colors and metallic accents though.
