The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the next entry in the series launching in a little over two months on Nintendo Switch, will feature gameplay that will allow players to change the game's world, according to the game's producer.
Commenting on the game receiving the Most Anticipated Game award at the Famitsu Game Awards a few days ago, as reported and translated by Genki on Twitter, producer Eiji Aonuma highlighted how Tears of the Kingdom will move the formula introduced in the previous entry in the series forward. Where Breath of the Wild gave players the ability to do whatever they wanted and when they wanted, the sequel will be "filled with new gameplay that will bring about changes to the game world."

That The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be different and bigger than its predecessor is no surprise, considering, this time around, players will be able to explore Hyrule's underground and skies, but it will be interesting to see this new gameplay that will let players change the game's world, and if it will be enough to justify the $70 price tag. According to Nintendo of America's president Doug Bowser, the higher price tag is fully justified as it reflects the game's deeply immersive experience.
The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom will release on Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 12th. We will keep you updated on the highly anticipated next entry in the Zelda series as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
