Sony have splashed out more cash and bought up Firewalk Studios. You may not be familiar with the name, in fact they are a relatively new studio with no games published.
Back in 2021 Sony announced a partnership with Firewalk for their “new, original multiplayer game” and whatever that game is it seems to have really caught Sony’s attention as they have now bought the studio. We’ve not seen or heard anything about the game but “next gen” has been mentioned so it looks like it’s a PS5 exclusive.

Over five years ago, we jumped at the chance to set up a new studio and build a new IP from the ground up.
