The current season for Critical Role is sprinting towards the end of a major story arc for its third Dungeons and Dragons campaign featuring the Bells Hells. The most recent episode ended on a massive cliffhanger involving characters from all three campaigns, leading many players to speculate on what is going to happen next.

Now,Critical Role is adding more fuel to the fire. Since the episode aired on Thursday, March 9th, the official Critical Role Twitter account has been posting cryptic in-universe archivist notes pertaining to the twin moons of Exandria. Ruidis, the smaller, crimson moon, is the primary subject of these notes, and the crux of Critical Role’s current campaign arc. Though only two of these notes have been published at press time, players expect to see more in the coming days.
Were that not ominous enough, Critical Role has been gradually changing its logo on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media outlets. Each iteration replaces the tie-dye background of the Critical Role logo with a slowly-eclipsing red, mimicking the celestial event surrounding the red moon Ruidis. Critical Role did not release a statement about it doing this event, counting on the audience to discover the cryptic clues for themselves.
