Octopath Traveler II, the second entry in the series released last month on PC and consoles worldwide, it's not one of the most challenging role-playing games released in the past few years due to how easy it is to overlevel. However, this can be solved on PC by a new mod that was shared online a few days ago.
The Octopath Limiter mod, created Viridescence and now available for download from Nexus Mods, allows players to set a maximum level for all characters, disabling experience points gain once all characters have reached the level set. The currently available limits are level 1, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60, as well as the game's base limit of 99. As the mod modifies the BattleParamDefineTabble.uasset file, it is not compatible with any other mod that does the same.
While the game's challenge level is on the low side, Octopath Traveler II is a definite improvement over its predecessor, with much more engaging stories and tons of quality-of-life improvements that make the game much more fun to play than its predecessor. Octopath Traveler II is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch worldwide. A playable demo is now available for download on all formats, and all progress made in the demo can be transferred into the full version of the game.
