An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player is showing solidarity with the ongoing protests in France with a custom in-game creation. Protests have erupted in France following an executive decree from President Emmanuel Macron raising the country's retirement age by two years, from 62 to 64. Macron did so without the involvement of France's parliament, which failed to pass a no-confidence vote in Macron's government. Macron has dismissed criticism and is refusing to backtrack, calling the decree a «necessity.»
