There is no shortage of rumors and speculation pieces for the video game industry. We’ve seen plenty flood into the public regarding what the future may hold for some beloved IPs, along with new projects that game studios are working on. So now we have another to highlight on the ever-growing list. It seems that FromSoftware might have been working on a new game project since January 2022. Although, there’s no word as to what this game project might be.
Linkedin has been a pretty strong source for finding out little tidbits of information when it comes to game studios. Some employees might let it slip about what they are working on in terms of a new game. Others might highlight their position on a project. Thanks to PCGamesN, we’re finding that Kenneth Chan has noted that he’s a producer for an unannounced project within FromSoftware. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, Kenneth Chan has been with FromSoftware for nearly ten years, and he’s worked on a few projects. One of those projects was being the lead game designer and project manager for Elden Ring.
Right now, we know of two projects that are currently in the works over at FromSoftware. That’s the new Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon and the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. But outside of those two projects, it remains a mystery what the studio could be bringing out next. Since it’s noted that this unannounced project has, at the very least, been in the works since January of 2022, it’s likely a good ways off before it’s ready for a launch into the marketplace.
Likewise, FromSoftware will not likely highlight what this project could be for a while. Instead, marketing is potentially planned out for the upcoming Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon and Elden Ring’s
