Fans of Diablo IV have faced hours-long queue times after the action role-player game’s early access beta release went live on Friday.
In its initial post(Opens in a new window) on the wait time, game developer Activision Blizzard told fans that it was “actively working through some issues behind the scenes that have been affecting players and causing them to be disconnected from the servers.
This is done so we can ensure stability among players who get into the game after the queue process.” Blizzard further told players waiting in line to play that they should stay in the login queue to avoid resetting their timer.
Fans of the hotly anticipated RPG took to social media to complain about the long wait times. Jason Schreier, a reporter at Bloomberg, tweeted(Opens in a new window) a screenshot of a Diablo login screen that showed 95 minutes left on the timer.
