Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games announced is making a comeback to modern gaming platforms. The remaster will include everything players know and love from the original release, as well as some new content to enjoy.
Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles launches on January 23, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will cost $19.99. However, anyone interested can get a 10% discount on the game when they preorder. Preorders are live now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
Originally released in 2000, Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is a side-scrolling arcade action game set during the prequel trilogy film. Players can choose from several characters including Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Plo Koon, and play in iconic locations from the film. This can be done alone or with a friend via couch co-op throughout all 10 levels, and bonus mini-games.
This remaster includes all the original characters and levels right from the star. So yes, players can jump in as Darth Maul, Captain Panaka, or Queen Amidala right when they start the game. This particular version includes 13 new playable characters to unlock after the first playthrough. These new characters include Rifle Droid, Tusken Raider, Ishi Tib, and Weequay. Some other new features include a modern control scheme, lightsaber color toggle, classic cheat codes, and other surprises.
