The latest game to feel the reach of the Imperium is Call of Duty. As promised earlier when Activision officially confirmed various Call of Duty crossover packs, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will get the chance to dress up as members of the Space Marines and other Warhammer 40,000 characters. A new trailer shows off the cosmetics in action, covering new looks for characters, weapons, and actions like takedowns.
The trailer opens by featuring Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 characters posed in a battle scene and framed in the «tilt shift» fashion to make them look like classic Warhammer 40,000 miniatures. The figures then get into motion, showing off costumes inspired by three major Imperium factions: The Space Marines of the Adeptus Astartes, soldiers of the Astra Militarum (also called the Imperial Guard), and the Adepta Sororitas, or Sisters of Battle.
There's also a specificity to the looks shown in the trailer, with costumes and weapon customizations evoking specific organizations in the Warhammer 40,000 lore.
