As we had correctly surmised, the Star Wars Outlaws story trailer also brought the release date announcement. The game is indeed launching sooner than originally thought (Disney had previously hinted at late 2024), being slated for August 30; however, that's also a bit later than some fans were hoping for, as some had even speculated the game could have launched on May the 4th.
Anyway, as anticipated by GameStop promotional materials, pre-orders are now open, too. The base edition is priced at $69.99, as standard nowadays. The Gold Edition ($109.99) provides three days of early access and the Season Pass (featuring two narrative DLCs available post-launch, the "Jabba's Gambit" exclusive mission at launch, and the "Kessel Runner Character Pack" cosmetic pack).
The Ultimate Edition, priced at $129.99, gets all that plus a digital art book (a selection of the game's concept art and visuals, including unique cinematic storyboards) and the following cosmetic DLCs:
On PC, the game will support NVIDIA DLSS 3 (including frame generation), RTX Direct Illumination, and ray traced global illumination. Players will travel across planets such as Canto Bight, Kijimi, Tatooine, Akiva, and the windswept savannah of Toshara, the latter of which was developed by Massive in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.
Julian Gerighty, Creative Director on Star Wars Outlaws, said:
In search of true freedom, the resourceful Kay and Nix will journey through the underworld and across the Outer Rim, taking on jobs from syndicates, facing off against intimidating foes, avoiding oppressive Imperial rule and recruiting a skilled outlaw crew in order to pull off one of the greatest heists the galaxy has ever seen.
