Unlike the soon-to-be-released Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, Gears 6, the next entry in the series in the works by The Coalition, is unlikely to run at "cinematic" 30 frames per second on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Speaking on the ResetERA forums, known industry veteran Nate "shinobi602" Najda told one user not to worry about the game running at 30 FPS. While he did not add much more on the matter, this definitely bodes well, considering how the industry veteran has been spot-on numerous times in the past.
While Gears 6 has yet to be announced, the anticipation surrounding the next game by The Coalition is at an all-time high, mostly thanks to comments from insiders that suggest the game is going to be a showcase for what the current console generation can do. According to other rumors, something related to it is happening this Summer, possibly an official reveal set to take place during the usual yearly Xbox Showcase.
Besides the fact that it is in the works, very little is currently known about Gears 6. The Coalition has been focusing on its development for a while, as the studio apparently canceled every other non-Gears project, so there's no doubt that the game will be a visually stunning experience, also considering how the developer released an impressive Unreal Engine 5 tech demo a few months after announcing their switch to the engine in May 2021.
