The long awaited Ghost of Tsushima PC port arrives later this month on May 16 and following the recent kerfuffle over Helldivers 2 and its PSN account link requirement on PC, players have been wondering if Ghost of Tsushima will require the same. Well, there’s good news and bad news.
I’m a bad news first kind of guy, so the bad news is that Ghost of Tsushima’s Legends multiplayer mode will require players link a PSN account to play. The good news is that the single-player mode won’t.
<p dir=«ltr» lang=«en» xml:lang=«en»>Thank you for your feedback.Just so you are aware, A PSN account is required for Legends online multiplayer mode and to use PlayStation overlay. It is not required to play the singleplayer game. — Sucker Punch Productions (@SuckerPunchProd) May 3, 2024For the uninitiated, Ghost of Tsushima Legends is a co-op multiplayer game mode that released in 2020 as part of the console version’s 1.1 game update. In Legends, players can select from four different classes (Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, and Assassin) and play with friends across a number of different modes. Legends features a nine episode arc as part of its story mode, a wave-based progression survival mode, and a three chapter endgame raid titled “The Tale of Iyo” that requires all four players.
As players play Legends content they’ll level up their class, unlock new techniques to use in battle, and acquire powerful gear. The mode was well received by fans on PlayStation and should be a treat on PC as well, provided one is able and willing to link a PSN account.
