“All is not well in prim and proper Beth Simpson’s exclusive enclave of wealthy, tech industry parents: her high school senior Teddy, despite being a talented pianist, is struggling during the pressurized college admissions process—he can’t break 1200 on the SAT,” the official synopsis reads. “When Beth learns that Teddy can get extra time on the all-important test if he’s injured, her heart leaps at the thought of a high score and entrance into an elite, cloistered university. Darkness overwhelms her maternal instincts, and she decides to do whatever it takes to get the standardized testing outcome she wants.”
Princeton’s in the Mix stars Heather Burns (Miss Congeniality, Manchester by the Sea) and Charlie Besso (Fallout, The Calling).
With a runtime of 15 minutes and 45 seconds, Princeton’s in the Mix is produced by Antonio Alonzo Ayala, Heather Brawley, and Matt Stoner. David Zax serves as a co-producer and additional writer.
Prior to Princeton’s in the Mix, DiMaio made a 2022 film called Unconformity starring Jack Mulhern and Alex Oliver. He’s also made and worked on a handful of other short films.
Princeton’s in the Mix is holding its world premiere at the 2024 DFW festival at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the TCL Mann Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, California. Click here for ticket information.
